2) Loaded

On the hottest afternoon of this summer, Prince Charming helped me carefully load 30 prints for tomorrow's gallery hanging at The Ragged Edge Art Bar and Gallery. Lucky for me, he's a brilliant packer and wedger.
If you speed past a nervous-looking woman on Hwy 218 tomorrow, honk. I'll know you mean it as a sign of encouragement, not a comment on my speed.
The opening is THIS week. Eeek! After all this prep, I can hardly believe it's happening. Hope to see you there on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 5 to 7, 504 Bluff St., Cedar Falls.
The show runs until Sept. 15th, so if you can't make it on Thursday, drop by anytime. Ragged Edge is open Thursdays through Sundays.
3) Hanging Day Crew
Yield: A Quixotic Quest to Rescue Virtue is hanging at the Ragged Edge Art Bar and Gallery.
The countdown is on until opening night, which is just two days from now, Aug. 8, starting at 5 at The Ragged Edge Art Bar and Gallery, 504 Bluff St., Cedar Falls.
I hope you'll drop by for the opening or stop in at your leisure. The show is up until Sept. 15.
Thanks to the hanging day crew, left to right: Kendra Wohlert, me, Wendy Bowman, and Barb Grabill. I couldn't have done it without you. Special thanks to Kendra for dreaming up the Ragged Edge as a community gathering spot, bespoke bar, and art gallery.
4) In Case You Missed It!
5) Old Dog, New Tricks

Help me wish my sweet Prince Charming, Harrison Cass, a happy birthday.
In the midst of all the hubbub of getting ready for the gallery opening, the coffee pot died. I didn't have a minute to spare and I kept Prince Charming hopping too.
So we had to use my (very snooty, according to PC) French press coffee maker. After only five or six lessons, PC learned how to boil water, pour it into the press, and wait five minutes before plunging the press.
This morning, on his birthday, no less, he made coffee with only minimal supervision.
Who says an old dog can't learn new tricks?
I’ll pass your birthday wishes on. xo
6) Opening Night!

What a night! Thanks to EVERYONE who came.
I want to give a special thanks to those of you who felt moved to buy a piece of art. Harrison thanks you from the bottom of his heart.
He's worried we don't have enough walls to hang all this art here at home.
The show has been extended! It’s up until Sunday, Sept. 22nd. Stop by The Ragged Edge at 504 Bluff St., Cedar Falls to check it out.
