As one chapter closes and another opens, join us in celebrating the creative turning points, bold experiments, and heartfelt reflections that shaped this unforgettable season.
1) Seasons of the Creative Soul
There’s a rhythm to the creative life—a quiet, sacred seasonality that carries us inward and outward like the tide.
Last week, I was in the luminous phase of show and share, standing in the light, speaking my truth, letting the work be seen. It was beautiful. It was big-hearted. It was also energy-intensive.
This week, I’ve gently stepped back into the sanctuary of my introverted soul. I’m resting, restoring, and allowing the quiet to hold me. No deadlines, no spotlight—just me, a sketchbook, and a low-stakes painting unfolding in the soft hum of the studio.
The tower calls, and I answer—not with fanfare, but with paint on fingers and peace in the process.
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement around the new book. You’ve made the “show and share” season feel deeply held. I see you, I feel you, and I’m so grateful.
2) Bad Painting #8: A Breakthrough in the Studio
After months of struggling to finish a painting, I finally had a breakthrough.
What helped? A mix of persistence, podcasts, and permission to paint badly. I share what worked (and what didn’t), plus a few lessons from Sterling Edwards, David Hockney, and The Savvy Painter podcast.

4) Featured This Week: The Virtue Quest
What happens when you live by a different virtue every month—for ten years? In this week’s story, I share the journey behind The Virtue Quest—a decade-long experiment in character, creativity, and a different kind of success.
Now a gallery exhibition and a book, this project is an invitation to reimagine how we live, what we value, and how we show up in the world.
